Reflection

I had learned Critical Reading in this term. I got new knowledge especially critical thinking from reading. In this subject was not difficult but I must try to think in all story that I learned. I'm glad to learned with Dr. Usa when I was studying I enjoyed but some time quite nervous when I must answer the question. This subject help me under stand about reading skill and improve my knowledge in this subject adept with learning in other subject. However we were finished critical reading already I must Thank you Dr. Use very much for your teaching because timeless and she always came to tough me till last day in class. Thank you teacher.

Critical Reading Week 15

Today I learn about facebook continue from last week.

Teacher Usa asked question to us about facebook to share your info for money on the white board. It was both easy and difficult too. It was difficult when I must answer question about showing my opinion. However this story was quite easy and so interesting because I always used facebook in my daily life. Today was last day in this term about learning critical reading. Finally teacher told us about my task and score. I enjoyed in this class.

Critical Reading Week 14

        Today learned about reading editorials. Dr. Usa asked us read the newspapers about 44 hurt after light rail cars collide in San Francisco. Next we studied about another enormous Obama Care Oops then we had practiced. I think it so difficult for me. Next she gave us  a new sheets about reading new articles. Before study new lesson teacher told us to wrote vocabulary about Facebook. Before we finished class teacher asked us to read new sheet and try to do practice at home. I enjoyed this class.

Critical Reading Week 13

          Today I learned about Reading Advertisement. The general advertisement included type of product, brand name, word&phrases with positive connotation, important product features, target audience, and theme of the ad. It was quite easy for me but it was quite difficult in theme of the ad. Finally, teacher asked me to find 3 advertisement for do homework.

Critical Reading Week 10

               Today I had exam about fact, opinion and main idea before class. Today I learned about observe the skills of author's purpose, tone, point of view, and intended audience. Then teacher gave us a new sheet and she asked us made to exercise  when we made exercise finished already and finished class. This lesson it 's quite difficult however  I enjoyed in this class.

          I learned first grader story continue by

discussing with friends about content in this movie,

our opinion to this movie and proverb “You’re never

too old to learn.” Then I had practice of first grader

story. Finally I discussed about immigration that I 

searched in group to my classroom.

         I agree with proverb “You’re never too old to 

learn.” because I think everyone can learn every time

since we was born till before die.

Critical reading Week 8

          I learned about importance of education and

number of person can read and write around the 

world then I had practice a little. Next I learned the

story about the old man was studied from First 

Grader movie till the end, it is the time for have 

lunch,so we finished class.

     I like to watch movie. I’m happy.

Today I absented because Dr. Usa had national

meeting. I didn’t joined to meeting because my

uniform not polite, I wore sneaker.

Critical reading Week 6

Today I learned about The Age of Immigration. This 

story about European immigration to the United 

States by using technic reading from suggest in 

handbook such as scan forward through the

paragraph and number the factors. Then come back 

And continue reading for the main idea, scan the 

paragraph and highlight words or short phrases that 

suggest economic hardship. Then come back and 

continue reading, what does However suggest about 

the main idea of the paragraph? Should you keep

your first hypothesis or change it?, as you continue 

reading, answer this question: “Does the paragraph 

describe positive or negative aspects of  immigrants’

 lives?”, read the first sentence of paragraph 7 and

 highlight the continuing idea in it. Use this idea to

 help you indentify the main idea of paragraph 6, and

 highlight the sentence in the paragraph that this 

story illustrates. Then I had practice main idea 

check, vocabulary study: synonym and words in 

context.Finally teacher asked to our that to search a

story about immigration in other countries to 

another country.

            In this lesson, it quite easy but difficult too. 

I understand this lesson but confuse a little, I must 

read carefully and many time, however I enjoyed in 

this class.

Critical Reading week 5

I learned about skills and strategies 4 main ideas. 

The main idea is the most important idea that a 

writer expresses in a paragraph. There are three 

strategies will help me identify main ideas. First, 

using the strategy called Early Hypothesis and 

Testing. Second, finding information that support 

main idea. Third, at the beginning of a paragraph, 

writing may repeat an important idea from previous 

paragraph.This continuing idea can help me identify 

the main idea of the previous paragraph. Then I had 

skill practices 1 and 2. This lesson quite hard for me.

Critical Reading week 4

To day I learned about Fact and Opinion. First we created information was fact and opinion each 5 sentences and then Dr. Usa taught us about meaning of fact and opinion. Next we had practiced in group when we finished practiced we had a break. Finally we continue practiced till finished class.

Critical Reading Week 3

First we showed idea about sushi such as ingredient 

of sushi and learned about American eating. In the 

past their foods were hamburger, pizza, fried, and 

etc. Then they began take care their health and 

interested diet. So they changed the way of eating 

were eating food for health and one of that food was 

sushi. Then we read all content for made practice 

and discuss in pair and five people in group. Finally 

we finished learning sushi we quiz by conclusion story 

of  Popular Culture Critical Reading.

Critical Reading Week 2

To day I learned about Leonado da Vinci’s painting Mona Lisa. I practiced critical Mona Lisa about her feeling from her face and critical about meaning of background.  I analyzed my idea with friends and then I learned about non- critical reading, critical reading, the most characteristic features of critical reading are that you will: ,  goals of critical reading, why do  we need to take a critical approach to reading?, and critical reading does not have to be all negative. Finally I quiz about meaning of Critical reading and important of approach to reading.

Critical Reading

First class of Critical reading I met Dr. Usa Noytim.

She reviewed about English Reading Strategies; what

were we lean?and explained cause syllabus of critical 

reading. Then we learn a little of Critical Reading 

Meaning; what do expect to learned about Critical 

Reading? and What difficulties or problems do you

think you are going to experience? and analyzing 

with other friends.
